Virtual Golfing for Grants Sept 14-28th
Join us Sept. 14-28 in our annual Golfing for Grants outing but this time in virtual form. As a virtual golfer, you will also be joining us in celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the LTAA Faculty Innovation Grant Program, which has awarded over $280,000 to Lane Tech teachers since its inception. The faculty at Lane Tech continues to set the bar high for excellence in education, but without the additional resources, a program like this provides, they would be hard-pressed to offer today’s sophisticated curriculum. Help them innovate, especially with the new challenges of e-learning, with tools that are typically out of budget reach, or simply not available through CPS channels, but make a big difference in outcomes for students.
“Virtual Golfing for Grants” is perfect for golfers and non-golfers alike! Choose a traditional course, miniature golf, or even trick shots in your house… solo, or socially-distanced with friends or classmates… the important thing is that you participate safely and have fun, and then send us a picture of your “virtual golfing experience”. All registered golfers will be entered into a random drawing for a 32” Toshiba Smart TV! Prizes will also be awarded to the golfer who raises the most money, and also to the most “creative golfer”, so be thinking outside the tee box!
