NURSING SCHOLARSHIP


 Scholarship History:

This scholarship was established in honor of Edward Budzinski ’40, Lane Tech loyal alumnus and dedicated benefactor.  Upon Mr. Budzinski’s passing in 2011, his legacy was defined by his generous commitment to the profession of nursing, which he held in the highest esteem.  The goal of this scholarship is to award a Lane Tech graduating senior who demonstrates a genuine and unwavering passion for the pursuit of a nursing career, thus allowing future nursing students to complete their undergraduate nursing degrees to better provide for the health care needs of the communities they will serve.  Established 2021.

Scholarship Award:

$5,000 total award to one (1) student.

Criteria/Eligibility:

  1. Lane Tech student with an expected June graduation date.
  2. Students pursuing a 2-year or 4-year degree program in nursing.
  3. Acceptance to an accredited college or university.
  4. Special consideration will be given to student applicants with financial need.
  5. The scholarship award is based on standard academic requirements.
