2023 KABOT ART SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship History:
John Kabot, a 1964 Lane Tech graduate, had established a scholarship for students with a passion for the arts and who are interested in pursuing an art major at a college or university.
Scholarship Award:
$7,500 total award to one (1) student.
Criteria/Eligibility:
Lane Tech student with an expected Spring, 2023 graduation date.
The scholarship award is based on scholastic/academic competency, artistic proficiency and financial need.
Demonstrates a passionate interest in the study of the arts.
Commitment to a fine arts major at a college or university.
Acceptance to an accredited college or university.
GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Your essay submission will be an opportunity to express who you are as a person and to convey why you should be awarded this scholarship. The theme for the essay is your inspiration by an artist or school/movement.
Please tell us how the art classes at Lane Tech have prepared you for your focus at the college level. Do expand in your essay on who has influenced and inspired your work as an artist.
